Zander Horvath Collects CFL Player Of The Week After Another Monster Performance

The ‘Z Train’ was rolling once again. And on Tuesday, Zander Horvath collected Player of the Week in the Canadian Football League for his latest monster outing.

Along with tying a single-game franchise record with four touchdowns in Sunday’s 45-24 win over the Ottawa REDBLACKS, Horvath rushed for 164 yards on 24 carries (6.8-yard average) and added four receptions for 30 yards.

The bruising back enters Week 14 with a CFL-best 16 touchdowns, six shy of the franchise record set by Cory Philpot in 1995 and seven behind Milt Stegall for the league record set in 2002. It his Horvath’s third Player of the Week selection in the last five games.

Winnipeg quarterback Zach Collaros and Saskatchewan wide receiver KeeSean Johnson rounded out the Week 14 Players of the Week.
